Lucknow Super Giants registered their first win of the season, chasing down 191 against Sunrisers Hyderabad with a commanding five-wicket victory. Nicholas Pooran (70 off 26) and Mitchell Marsh (50 off 29) ensured LSG dominated the chase after a strong start. Earlier, Shardul Thakur’s 4 for 34 had helped restrict SRH to 190 for 9.

SRH Innings 🔥

Shardul Thakur made an early impact, striking twice in the third over. Abhishek Sharma (6 off 6) holed out to long-on, and Ishan Kishan departed for a golden duck. Travis Head kept SRH’s intent intact, hitting two sixes and a four in an over. However, he was cleaned up by Prince Yadav for 47 off 28.

LSG Chase 🚀

LSG started watchfully before Nicholas Pooran launched an attack with two sixes and a four off Simarjeet Singh in the third over. Marsh joined in, hammering Shami for two straight sixes as LSG reached 49 for 1 in four overs.

By the end of the powerplay, LSG had surged to 77 for 1, their second-highest in IPL history. Pooran reached the fastest fifty of the season, and LSG stood at 96 for 1 in seven overs. Cummins dismissed Pooran lbw for 70 off 26, and Marsh brought up his fifty before holing out.

Harshal Patel took a stunning catch to dismiss Badoni, and later removed Rishabh Pant with an outside edge taken by Shami. Despite the late stutter, LSG completed the chase comfortably with Abdul Samad finishing on 22* off 8.
